Some of the top-rated historical landmarks in CurioWanderer include Taipei 101 (Taipei, Taiwan), Angkor Wat (Siem Reap, Cambodia), Teotihuacan (Mexico City, Mexico). These landmarks are known for their architectural beauty and historical significance. In addition to these historical landmarks, CurioWanderer also craft itineraries to take you to explore less well known destinations so that you can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the country.
All CurioWanderer trips include walking and physical activity as we explore off-the-beaten-path locations. You should be prepared to walk 2-3 miles a day, navigate uneven terrains, get in and out of various forms of transportation, and handle your own belongings. Due to the nature of our adventures, our adventures aren’t suitable for those with physical challenges, walking impairments, or anyone who has difficulty keeping up with the group’s pace.
Your CurioWanderer travel host will meet you at the hotel once you arrive. However, we’ll provide you with various transportation options to get between the airport and hotel on arrival day, as well as from the hotel to the airport on your departure day.
CurioWanderer offers single occupancy on all trips unless otherwise specified. If you and a family member or a friend are interested in a CurioWanderer trip and want to share a room, please reach out to us at hello@curiowanderer.com and we will see what we can do to make this request happen.
Travel insurance is highly recommended. For any questions about what travel insurance covers, please contact the insurance company directly. Keep in mind that your personal medical insurance usually doesn’t cover you while traveling, so it’s a good idea to consider medical evacuation insurance to protect against emergencies or accidents.
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the end date of your trip. If you need a new passport, get it promptly and provide us with the new details if requested, especially for trips requiring internal flights. If you can't attend due to an expired passport, any refunds will follow CurioWanderer's cancellation policies as of your withdrawal date.
Visa requirement will vary depending on your travel destination. CurioWanderer will always provide the necessary visa information ahead of time so you can get the appropriate visa for your trip.
In the even that CurioWanderer needs to cancel an adventure due to insufficient participants or unforeseen events beyond our control, we will notify you before your final payment is due. However, CurioWanderer reserves the right to cancel any adventure up until the day of departure for reasons beyond our control.
If CurioWanderer cancels your adventure, all payments made toward the canceled trip will be promptly refunded. Please note, CurioWanderer is not responsible for any penalties, fees from airlines, or other expenses you may have incurred in preparation for the adventure outside of the trip cost.
